Inspection
Seattle Photonics has designed several optical systems for use in inspection and metrology systems. Some of our lens designs are currently in use in machine vision applications for carbon fiber layups of aircraft assemblies and in optical height gauges with sub-micron level resolution. These systems are particularly tolerance and assembly sensitive so a lot of analysis has to go into the design well before it is ever released for production.
