Virtual Reality

Seattle Photonics has been involved with the design and development of many virtual reality systems for major fortune 500 companies. The engineers in our group come from companies that were some of the early pioneers in the VR community. Our efforts have resulted in the development of new high field of view systems with larger eyebox sizes and excellent imaging performance. We’ve designed VR optical systems that include plastic refractive elements, Fresnel elements, TIR prisms, diffractive elements for great color correction and pancake optics for very low profile systems. We understand the ergonomic and anthropometric requirements inherent in any good virtual reality system and drive our designs to the most appropriate solutions that represent the best compromise for all system requirements.
